BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Saucon Technologies has launched the Saucon Mobile Portal, a new mobile platform that gives motorcoach fleet managers and operations personnel secure, real-time access to fleet information from their smartphones, allowing them to monitor operations and respond to issues while away from the office.
The new platform extends Saucon’s existing portal to mobile devices, giving users access to critical operational information wherever they are. The company said the mobile solution was developed to meet the needs of an industry where owners, managers and employees are frequently traveling and often need immediate access to fleet data.
“Today’s motorcoach industry doesn’t sit still for long,” the company said in announcing the product launch. “Owners, managers and employees at all levels of an organization are always on the go. Now they can take the Saucon portal with them. Whether you are at the grocery store, out on a charter, or at home, the Saucon portal is available wherever you go.”

According to Saucon, many customers have described the company’s portal as the “backbone of a motorcoach company.” The new mobile version is designed to provide the same operational capability on a smartphone, enabling managers to address issues as they arise without returning to a desktop computer.
“Today, you can take it with you wherever you go and will be prepared for that unexpected call from an employee with an issue,” the company said. “You can solve operational problems while still in conversation with the employee from the mobile device.”
Key data when you need it
Mike McDonal, Saucon Technologies’ director of regulatory compliance and industry relations, said the ability to access real-time information is critical when responding to operational challenges.
“As a motorcoach industry veteran myself, I understand the importance of having the right data as soon as possible in a critical situation,” McDonal said. “Decisions need to be made quickly, with the facts available in real-time. The Saucon Mobile Portal now gives you an enormous amount of data immediately wherever you need it.”
Saucon said the launch comes as motorcoach operators continue to adopt digital technologies that improve fleet visibility and streamline day-to-day operations. The company said mobile access to fleet intelligence can help operators reduce downtime, improve safety and make faster decisions without being tied to a desktop computer.
The Saucon Mobile Portal is available now for Saucon customers.
