ABC Companies names John Walsh as Chief Commercial Officer

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. (AP) — ABC Companies has named John Walsh as its chief commercial officer, the transportation company said Friday, as it seeks to expand its market presence and strengthen relationships with customers and strategic partners.

Walsh brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the transportation, transit, commercial vehicle and bus industries. In his new role, he will oversee vehicle sales, business development, customer engagement and strategic partnerships.

“John brings a combination of industry experience, commercial leadership and a deep understanding of our customers and the markets we serve,” ABC Companies CEO Roman Cornell said in a statement.

Before joining ABC, Walsh served as chief commercial officer at Proterra, where he worked on the growth of electric transit solutions. He also was president of EO Charging Americas and president of REV Bus Group, overseeing brands serving the transit, school bus, mobility and commercial transportation markets.

Walsh previously held leadership positions at Davey Coach Sales and National Bus Sales & Leasing, among other transportation companies.

ABC said Walsh will focus on accelerating growth initiatives and coordinating the company’s commercial operations while maintaining its emphasis on customer service and operational performance.

ABC Companies, a family-owned business founded in 1972, provides transportation vehicles, parts, service and financing support to fleet operators across North America. The company offers vehicles with capacities of up to 81 passengers.
