ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. — Prevost has opened a larger service center near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, nearly tripling its facility space and expanding parts storage and service capacity for motorcoach operators.
The new Elk Grove Village facility spans about 29,000 square feet, up from 9,000 square feet at Prevost’s previous location about 5 miles away. The move expands the center from three service bays to five.
Parts storage is growing even more, from 800 square feet to nearly 15,000 square feet. The additional inventory and service space are designed to improve turnaround times and support customers traveling through the Chicago area.
“This new location represents a major step forward in our ability to serve customers,” says Wolfgang Robert, senior director of Prevost’s service network. “With more space, more capacity, and a location designed around customer convenience, we are well-positioned to deliver the high level of service Prevost customers expect.”
The center is near O’Hare International Airport and several major expressways, giving motorcoach operators easier access while traveling through the region. It also is near destinations that generate significant motorcoach traffic, including universities and the Rosemont Convention Center.
Prevost says the center includes a customer lounge, an amenity not available at its previous facility, as well as leased parking for up to 60 vehicles. The property is fenced for additional security.
The location will be supported by 10 mobile service vans and will have a technician available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Prevost also plans to introduce extended service-center hours, with details to be announced later.
Prevost invested $1.8 million in the facility. The company says the project is part of a broader effort to expand its brick-and-mortar and mobile service network during 2026 and 2027.
