RANDLEMAN, N.C. — Prevost and Holiday Tours are collaborating on a new facility to expand operations and reinforce a partnership that spans nearly four decades.
The project was marked by a groundbreaking ceremony on March 25 in Randleman. The new building will include 14 service bays and is expected to open in early 2027.
Company officials said the project represents a joint investment in long-term growth, increased service capacity and improved customer support, with the facility designed to boost efficiency and expand maintenance capabilities.

“This expansion is really just the next chapter in a partnership that goes back nearly 40 years,” said David Moody, president of Holiday Tours. “They build a product we can trust our name on.”
Prevost, a subsidiary of Volvo Group, is one of North America’s largest manufacturers of premium intercity touring coaches and a global leader in high-end motorhome and specialty conversion vehicles. The company manufactures its coaches in Sainte-Claire, Quebec, and maintains a service network across the continent.
Holiday Tours, a third-generation, family-owned business based in Randleman, operates more than 70 motorcoaches and specializes in charter transportation. The company has partnered with Prevost since 1985 and has purchased 129 coaches during that time.

Bigger maintenance operation
Officials said the new facility will significantly expand Holiday Tours’ in-house maintenance operations, improving efficiency, quality control and reliability for customers.
Moody said the project had been in development for several years, with early discussions beginning in 2020 before being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is really just us continuing to execute on that long-term plan,” he said.

Moody also highlighted the company’s family legacy, noting that Holiday Tours was founded by his grandparents, Nancy and Dwight Thompson, and later expanded by other family members.
“We’re proud to carry on the legacy,” he said.
He added that Myrick Construction, the project’s general contractor, has longstanding ties to the company, having built its first shop in 1987 and expanded it in 2006.
“At the end of the day, we’re excited about what this means for the future,” Moody said. “This isn’t just about today — it’s about the next 20 or 30 years.”
