GoPegasus Art on Wheels receives tourism advocacy award

GoPegasus Art on Wheels, an innovative cultural initiative, is the recipient of the 2023 Flagler Award in the category of tourism advocacy.

Organized annually by VISIT FLORIDA, the Flagler Awards recognize exceptional efforts in Florida tourism marketing.

GoPegasus, an Orlando-based transportation and group travel company, last year launched “Art on Wheels,” an innovative program to promote the region’s nonprofit arts and culture industry in a way that will “move” residents and global visitors – literally.

The UMA Member converts some of its luxury coach buses into “moving canvases” that showcase the works of local artists. This collaboration of artists, businesses, and the community highlights Florida’s cultural richness and advocates for the significance of these industries.

“We are truly honored to receive this prestigious recognition, which acknowledges the tireless efforts of our team and partners in advancing the vision of GoPegasus Art on Wheels, ” said Claudia Menezes, Vice President of GoPegasus. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to VISIT FLORIDA and the Flagler Awards for spotlighting the pivotal role of the arts and tourism in our state.”

She adds that the accolade underscores the program’s dedication to nurturing creativity, fostering community engagement, and supporting the arts industry.
