ENC, a U.S.-based transit bus manufacturer and subsidiary of Rivaz Inc., has received a second order from Academy Express LLC for 15 additional 40-foot AXESS clean diesel buses, the company announced Tuesday.
The order follows an earlier purchase of 10 buses and expands Academy’s fleet as the Hoboken, New Jersey-based company continues to invest in durable, ADA-compliant transit vehicles. Academy Bus is the largest privately owned ground transportation provider in the U.S., operating more than 1,000 buses from Boston to Miami.

The AXESS platform is designed for safety and durability, featuring a 304-grade stainless steel body structure and multiple propulsion options, including clean diesel, compressed natural gas, hybrid, and battery-electric. All models are Buy America-compliant, with customizable layouts and mobility features to meet various accessibility needs.
Academy Bus first purchased ENC transit buses in 2015. The latest order will be manufactured at ENC’s ISO 9001-certified facility in Riverside, a 227,000-square-foot plant that resumed operations earlier this year following a pause in late 2024. The facility handles every phase of production, from frame welding to final inspection.
