Connecticut-based DATTCO, a family-owned transportation company celebrating more than a century in operation, has added three new Motor Coach Industries J4500 motorcoaches to its fleet, MCI announced
The 2026 model-year coaches, customized to DATTCO’s specifications, include upgraded seating, advanced safety features, and distinctive exterior styling for the company’s charter and tour operations across the Northeast. The order is DATTCO’s first new J4500 delivery since 2019.

“DATTCO is known for doing things the right way—with care, detail, and a constant focus on the customer,” said Tom Wagner, MCI’s vice president of private sector sales and service. “We’re proud to deliver these J4500s to such a respected operator and look forward to supporting their team in every way we can.”
Founded in 1924 and based in New Britain, Connecticut, DATTCO has grown into one of the Northeast’s largest motorcoach providers. The company operates a fleet of vehicles serving charter, tour, and contract transportation markets.
As part of the delivery process, DATTCO leaders visited MCI’s manufacturing facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, while MCI and NFI Parts representatives toured DATTCO’s New Britain headquarters to coordinate long-term fleet support and technician training through NFI Parts and MCI Academy.

“Safety, comfort, and reliability are central to our customer experience,” said Dennis Lyons, DATTCO’s vice president of the Coach & Tour Group. “MCI worked closely with us to ensure this new model fits seamlessly into our fleet. The support from initial outreach through delivery has been outstanding.”
