American Safety acquires New Orleans Tours, expands charter fleet ahead of Super Bowl LIX

Louisiana-based American Safety LLC has acquired New Orleans Tours, expanding its charter fleet to meet growing transportation demands that include next month’s Super Bowl.

With the addition of New Orleans Tours’ fleet of 18 shuttles and buses, American Safety now has more than 200 vehicles to serve groups, convention visitors, sports teams, and the influx of fans expected for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in New Orleans, American Safety operates across Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, and Texas, and plans to expand throughout the Gulf Coast. The minority-owned company offers transportation, industrial, environmental, and disaster relief services.

Louisiana-based American Safety LLC has acquired New Orleans Tours.

“American Safety is known for providing solutions to our business partners, whatever their needs are,” said Corey Rosales, President and CEO of American Safety. “Whether transporting workers to job sites, convention attendees to events, or sports teams and fans to games, we are committed to delivering reliable and quality transportation services.”

New Orleans Tours, established in 1973 by Warren Reuther, transports tens of thousands of passengers annually and travels an average of 350,000 miles annually. While its former parent company, Hospitality Enterprises, retains other holdings — including New Orleans Paddlewheels, Jean Lafitte Swamp Tours, and City Sightseeing Tours — the timing was right to sell New Orleans Tours, said Craig Smith, President of Hospitality Enterprises.

“We are excited to extend the legacy of this company and its role in New Orleans tourism,” Smith said. “We thank our employees, clients, and customers who have been integral to its history and impact on the city.”

Prepping for Super Bowl

The acquisition comes as New Orleans prepares for Super Bowl LIX, which is expected to bring at least $500 million in economic impact and over 125,000 visitors. American Safety, an NFL-approved vendor through the Super Bowl LIX Source Program, plans to leverage its expanded fleet, new equipment, and logistics expertise to meet the event’s transportation needs.

“We look forward to maintaining the quality and continuity New Orleans Tours has provided for over 50 years,” Rosales said. “By integrating our logistics knowledge and technology, we aim to enhance the customer experience while continuing to grow our fleet and workforce across the Gulf Coast.”

American Safety said no changes are planned for current employees or clients. For more information, visit www.nolabus.com.
