Rep. Lipinski announces new legislative assistant for transportation and infrastructure

Alex Beckman has joined the staff of Congressman Dan Lipinski (D-IL) as his Legislative Assistant for transportation issues. In addition to leading on the Congressman’s Transportation and Infrastructure Committee assignments and supporting his work as Chair of the Subcommittee on Railroad, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials, he will be handling issues related to homeland security, telecom, the Congressman’s Buy America portfolio and some labor issues.

“Congressman Lipinski’s team has worked closely with the United Motorcoach Association over the years,” said Ken Presley, VP of legislative and regulatory affairs and industry relations/COO. We look forward to working with Alex.

Alex comes from Transportation for America, where he worked on reforming the United States surface transportation program. Additionally, he has worked on several campaigns and was a congressional intern.

“We are excited to have Alex join Team Lipinski,” said Eric Lausten, Chief of Staff for Congressman Lipinski.
