National Limousine Association announces 2025 priorities

The National Limousine Association (NLA), which represents the global chauffeured ground transportation industry, announced its 2025 priorities after a meeting with its Board of Directors in Phoenix this week.

“The insights and expertise shared during this meeting will be the foundation for an impactful year ahead,” said Brett Barenholtz, NLA president. “We are united in our mission to protect and promote the interests of our members while driving innovation and sustainability in the luxury transportation sector.”

The NLA outlined key initiatives for 2025, including:

  • Addressing the insurance crisis: The NLA plans to partner with insurance associations to create a dedicated risk category for luxury ground transportation, distinguishing it from ride-hailing and taxi services. This effort aims to mitigate the insurance challenges operators face.
  • Sustainability initiatives: Committed to environmental leadership, the NLA will support carbon offset programs and incentivize the adoption of electric vehicles by its members. A Green Certification Program is set to launch next year.
  • Industry trade show: The flagship Chauffeur Driven/NLA Show will return Feb. 23-26 at the Paris Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, featuring innovative exhibits, seminars, and networking opportunities for industry professionals.
  • 40th-anniversary celebrations: The NLA will commemorate its milestone anniversary with a special event at its annual convention, a commemorative publication, and a digital campaign highlighting its history and accomplishments.
  • Advertising expansion: Building on the success of its 2024 campaign, the association plans to expand public education efforts about the safety, reliability, and luxury its members offer.

“We are at a transformative moment in the industry,” said Rick Versace, NLA treasurer. “This meeting wasn’t just about solving today’s problems—it was about envisioning what the future of luxury ground transportation should look like and taking bold steps to get there.”
