DATTCO expands into Central Massachusetts with new Millbury facility

The new location will enable the family-owned motorcoach and school bus company based in New Britain, Connecticut, to grow its fleet, modernize operations, and strengthen transportation services for schools, universities, and organizations across the region.

“This expansion represents much more than a new facility — it’s an investment in people, progress and the Worcester community,” DATTCO President Donald DeVivo said. “We’re thrilled to bring our family-owned values and decades of transportation expertise to this dynamic region.”

The company said the Millbury expansion will create new jobs and enhance local transportation services.

Dennis Lyons, vice president of DATTCO’s coach and tour group, said the company looks forward to building relationships in Worcester and nearby towns known for “education, athletics and local enterprise.”

Chief Operating Officer Kyle DeVivo called the new site a “milestone” in DATTCO’s long-term growth strategy. “We’re not just expanding routes — we’re expanding relationships,” he said.

DATTCO currently partners with several regional institutions, including Assumption University, Nichols College, Dean College and the Worcester Railers. The new facility will support those partnerships and expand the company’s charter and school bus services throughout Central Massachusetts.

Founded in 1924, DATTCO provides motorcoach, school bus and transit services throughout the Northeast. The company said it will continue to focus on workforce development, sustainability and customer service as it grows.
