Coachlight Tour’s Elizabeth Kamalakis takes on new leadership role

UMA Board Member Elizabeth Kamalakis of Coachlight Tours has been chosen to serve as President of the Motorcoach Association of South Carolina.

Elizabeth Kamalakis

MCASC held a small meeting last week and Executive Director Linda Morris announced the following officers and board members who will lead the association for the coming term. All are UMA Members and the new MCASC Vice President is UMA Board Member Matt Dance of Champion Coach.

Kamalakis says she is “so pleased to have the support of MCASC members to serve as their president. I am the second female president to have this honor after Elaine Johnson from Cross Country Tours who
served one term (2005 – 2007).  I feel that this is one of the most challenging times that our industry is
experiencing and I truly hope to make a difference in whatever way I may be able to help the MCASC
members to get through to the other side.”

“It will definitely be a challenge,” she said, “but sticking together to encourage one another will make it
easier than one standing alone. Bob Garrett, having served us so well and accomplished many goals he
had set for us. I know I have big shoes to fill.”

The MCASC officers and board consist of:

Executive Director: Linda Morris
President: Elizabeth Kamalakis, Coachlight Tours
Vice President: Matt Dance, Champion Coach
Secretary/Treasurer: JoLynn Lott, Jean’s Bus Service
Immediate Past President: Bob Garrett, Sunshine Travel

Board Members:
Charles Coleman (Chaplain), See & See Charters
Martha Scott, Carolina Travel & Tours
Buddy Young, Capital Tours
Lee Helms, Sunway
Doug Woodie, Cross Country
