BANY returns to historic Cooperstown for annual meeting

The Bus Association of New York is returning to historic Cooperstown, New York, for its annual meeting and marketplace.

The three-day event – Nov. 7-9 – will be held at the iconic Otesaga Resort Hotel. The historic resort, built on Otsego Lake in 1909, is a short drive from the world-famous National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

“We’ve all had a very challenging year and a half,” said Bob Brisman, president of BANY and West Point Tours. “It’s time to get together, renew old friendships, make some new ones and take part in a packed agenda of presentations, updates and speakers.”

Seminar topics will focus on sales, marketing, leadership, cybersecurity, and industry and regulatory updates. Representatives from the New York State Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will be among the presenters.

BANY is bringing back speakers John Kennedy and Josiah Brown, who wowed members with their presentations in 2019. Brown is chair of the New York State Tourism Association, former president/CEO of New York Welcomes You, and the creator of the New York’s Best Experiences travel guide.

In addition to the formal sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to browse vendor tables, tour a number of motorcoaches on display and network with colleagues and vendors.

The Marketplace will offer an opportunity for delegates to meet with operators in five-minute sessions.

Founded in 1938, BANY remains the voice of the bus and motorcoach operators and those who depend on the industry’s business in the State of New York. The organization not only represents the broad interests of the industry but of individual members.
