Prevost has delivered the first of 381 coaches to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York City, marking the beginning of the largest contract in the motorcoach manufacturer’s history.
“This is a historic moment,” said François Tremblay, president of Prevost and Volvo Group Canada. “The first coach in a long series, destined for the largest public transport agency in North America, has just left our Sainte-Claire plant.”

The multiyear agreement, announced in December 2023, includes a firm order for 250 coaches to be delivered between 2025 and 2026. The contract is a significant economic boost for the Bellechasse region of Quebec, where Prevost is headquartered, and has already led to the retention and hiring of more than 150 employees.
The contract is expected to generate further benefits for Prevost’s network of Quebec and Canadian suppliers.

Founded over a century ago, Prevost is one of North America’s largest producers of premium intercity touring coaches and a global leader in high-end motorhome and specialty conversion coaches. The company supports its products with the largest service network in the motorcoach industry, including OEM-owned service centers and mobile service vans throughout North America.
Prevost’s manufacturing facility is in Sainte-Claire, Quebec. The company is part of the Volvo Group, one of the world’s top manufacturers of buses, trucks, construction equipment, and power solutions for industrial and marine applications.
