UMA members fill open seats on board of directors

Elizabeth Kamalakis and Dale McMichael were elected to join the United Motorcoach Association Board of Directors in this fall’s elections.

Kamalakis, of Coachlight Tours in Savannah, Georgia, was elected to represent Region 2. McMichael, of Executive Coach in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was unopposed in Region 3.

Directors reelected to their seats were Dennis Streif of Vandalia Bus Lines in Caseyville, Illinois, who ran unopposed in Region 1; Alan Thrasher of Thrasher Brothers Trailways in Birmingham, Alabama, in Region 2; and Scott Riccio, Northeast Charter & Tour of Lewiston, Maine, who ran unopposed in Region 3.

Bob Greene of Amaya-Astron Seating ran against two fellow Non-Coachbuilder candidates and was elected to represent the associate member community.

Operator candidates are elected by region and serve three-year terms. Open seats in Regions 1 and 3 were not contested, meaning candidates ran unopposed. Region 2 members chose among five candidates and voted with mail-in ballots.

The new directors will be seated on the Board during UMA Motorcoach EXPO in Nashville on Jan. 20, 2020.
