NEW ORLEANS — The South Central Motorcoach Association is preparing to welcome members and industry partners to its 2026 Annual Convention & Marketplace, scheduled for Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 at the Drury Plaza Hotel New Orleans.

The event will bring together motorcoach operators, tourism professionals, suppliers, and industry leaders from across the South Central region for three days of education, networking, safety discussions, and marketplace opportunities focused on strengthening the motorcoach industry.
One of the convention’s featured presentations will be delivered by Ken Presley, vice president, legislative and regulatory affairs and industry relations/chief operating officer of the United Motorcoach Association.
Presley is recognized throughout the industry for his work in advocacy, regulatory affairs, and operational safety initiatives affecting motorcoach operators nationwide.
Presley will provide updates on legislative and regulatory issues impacting the industry, including federal transportation policies, safety initiatives, and advocacy efforts. Organizers said the presentation will provide insight into the challenges and opportunities facing operators.
“Having Ken Presley join us in New Orleans is a tremendous opportunity for our members,” said Cary Martin, president of the South Central Motorcoach Association. “His knowledge of legislative and regulatory affairs provides critical information that helps operators stay informed, prepared, and engaged on the issues that directly impact their businesses.”

In addition to educational sessions, the convention will feature networking receptions, supplier exhibits, industry discussions, and opportunities for operators and associate members to strengthen partnerships.
The event is being held in conjunction with ABA’s Bus Industry Safety Council, or BISC, underscoring SCMA’s emphasis on safety, education, and industry collaboration.
Registration information and additional details are available through the South Central Motorcoach Association.
