New Flyer brings jobs to Kentucky plant

Frankfort, Ky.New Flyer of America Inc. unveiled a $30 million transit bus and motorcoach manufacturing facility that will create up to 550 jobs. Gov. Matt Bevin joined executives for the unveiling and called it part of a banner year for Kentucky economic agenda and a “significant part of our continued forward momentum to become America’s engineering and manufacturing hub of excellence.”

The 300,000 square foot facility will allow the company to boost in-house production of components; 70 percent of the investment went to new equipment and building preparations.
