NEWPORT, R.I. — Members of the 101-year-old New England Bus Association and its associate partners gathered in Newport this week for the association’s annual conference.
The conference is being held at the Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina on Narragansett Bay, a property known for its hospitality and views of Newport’s sailing heritage, including America’s Cup yachts.
The event opened Wednesday with a welcome reception, local cuisine and networking opportunities.
Following the traditional Breakfast with the Buses, attendees participated in the NEBA General Session and an educational presentation on using “Copilot, Zoom, Gemini, YouTube, and CRM tools.” The day also included trolley and boat tours of the Newport area.
Thursday evening’s program features one of NEBA’s longstanding traditions, an outdoor Maine lobster feast followed by the association’s annual awards ceremony.
Friday’s agenda includes industry updates and educational sessions on “Quick Tips for AI Productivity/Internet Fraud,” “Defending Yourself 101,” “Building Successful Tour Operator Partnerships” and “What Is Happening in 2027 Engines.” The conference will conclude with an open forum discussion.
Next year’s conference will be held on Cape Cod, which organizers said will have a high standard to match following this year’s event in Newport.
