RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation has acquired Eyre Bus Service, a Maryland transportation company that has served the region for nearly eight decades.
Founded in 1947, Eyre provides corporate and employee shuttles, school and university transportation, group charters, tours, event transportation and large-scale group movements throughout Maryland and the greater Washington region.
“We have tremendous respect for what the Eyre family and their team have built over the past 79 years,” RMA CEO Robert M. Alexander said. “We are honored to carry that legacy forward. The values that have earned Eyre the trust of generations of customers align closely with RMA’s values and the way we operate our business.”
The acquisition expands RMA’s presence in Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic while adding to its motorcoach, charter and shuttle capabilities.

Eyre customers will gain access to RMA’s larger fleet, technology, 24/7 operational support and national and global transportation network. They also will continue to receive the local knowledge and personal service for which Eyre is known.
The acquisition broadens RMA’s ability to provide transportation ranging from executive sedans and SUVs to Sprinter vans, minibuses and full-size motorcoaches. The company also provides employee shuttles and transportation for large, complex group movements.
RMA serves corporations, hotels, universities, government agencies, professional sports organizations, meetings and events, and private travelers. The company operates across the U.S. and has an extensive global affiliate network.
