Motorcoach industry mourns Hensley and Greig

The motorcoach industry is mourning two long-time enthusiasts.

Briggs Finly Hensley, 79, of Virginia, passed away July 28 and headed off on what his family called his “final road trip.” While he held many jobs over his lifetime, his favorite was driving a bus and during a career with Lynchburg Bus Service and Abbott Bus Lines, he visited 49 states and Canada. To honor his love of motorcoaches, Abbott Bus Lines escorted him to the final resting place through a motorcoach caravan. Condolences can be sent to tharpfuneralhome.com.

Minnesota Charter Bus Operator’s Association member Lee Greig, owner of Northwestern Transit of Motley, Minn., passed away in August after a long fight against various medical issues. His son Jim remains involved with the business. To share condolences, go to halvorsonjohnson.com.
