Mary Rydel will lead UMA’s digital media sales

The United Motorcoach Association has secured the services of Mary Rydel, of the MDR Group, to lead digital ad sales for the organization, including for Bus & Motorcoach News online and UMA’s popular email newsletters.

“Mary is a seasoned digital and print sales professional with national account expertise. She has the skills necessary to understand the marketing objectives of our clients, and provide cost-effective solutions,” UMA President and CEO Larry Killingsworth said.

Julianne Ryder, UMA Director of Marketing and Communications, said, “UMA is fortunate to be able to bring someone of Mary’s caliber on board to connect industry product and service providers with the motorcoach marketplace and its key decision-makers.”

“Companies that want to promote their brands, and products and services to the motorcoach

industry will find UMA’s digital offerings effectively target the industry’s leaders and decision-makers,” Rydel said. “I am especially excited that UMA is beginning to offer internet retargeting as part of our digital options. Retargeting is a proven winner when it comes to getting attention in our niche marketplace.”

Internet retargeting

UMA offers advertising in its two email communications — the daily UMA NewsFLASH and the weekly news roundup from Bus & Motorcoach News. In addition, more opportunities to reach industry leaders include Bus & Motorcoach News online, UMA weekly Town Hall meetings and the Motorcoach Minute video, as well as through internet retargeting ads that can be directed to UMA’s robust online audience.

Rydel calls West Michigan home, where operators such as Cardinal Bus, Great Lakes Motorcoach and Blue Lakes Charters & Tours are familiar sights on the roadway. Like many, she has enjoyed traveling by coach to visit Michigan’s crown jewel of tourist destinations, Mackinac Island, as well as sporting events.

Rydel can be reached at mrydel@uma.org.
