Every year, the International Motorcoach Group (IMG) presents two awards highlighting the organization’s commitment to safety and network support.
This year, Transportation Charter Service (TCS) in Orange, California, and Niagara Scenic Tours, based in Hamburg, New York, was honored by IMG’s recent Maintenance and Safety Forum.
More than 200 IMG Shareholders, their staff, and industry partners gathered for the 2023 IMG Spirit and Safety Awards Dinner sponsored by Prevost, held in Detroit, Michigan.
The IMG Safety Award is awarded to an IMG company that demonstrates the highest level of safety throughout the organization. The award winner meets the highest level of federal, state, and local regulations and goes above and beyond in implementing company safety measures that ensure their employee and customers’ experience reflects the safest work and transportation conditions possible.
A committee of past winners awarded Pacific Coachways, California; Southeastern Stages, Georgia, and DATTO, in New Britain, Connecticut, presented the IMG 2023 Safety Award to TCS – Transportation Charter Service.
Accepting the award on behalf of the TCS team, Terry Fischer, President, described why the accolade meant a lot to the company.
“What an honor from the IMG network, and this really reflects our commitment and culture to safety and training that is so important to everyone at TCS. This is really an award for the entire team,” Fischer said.
The IMG Spirit Award is given to the IMG company that displays the “spirit” of IMG philosophies, best practices, and operations from a maintenance and safety standpoint while demonstrating a leadership role that benefits fellow members and the IMG Organization.
Past winners of this award included Vandalia Bus Line, based in Caseyville, Illinois, Missouri; Karst Stage, based in Bozeman, Montana and TCS elected to chose Niagara Scenic Tours, based in Hamburg, NY, as the 2023 IMG Spirit award recipient.
In accepting the award Hadley Bos-Fisher President, president of Niagara Scenic noted the role IMG plays in the company’s overall success.
“What a surprise for our entire organization to be the recipient of this award. We value our membership in IMG and being able to network with the very best in the industry. I am very proud to accept this award on behalf of our team,” Bos-Fisher said.
