BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — With UMA Motorcoach EXPO drawing strong interest from across the country, hotel rooms are becoming increasingly scarce in the Magic City as the event approaches.
The first properties to sell out were the Sheraton Birmingham and the Westin Birmingham, the two hotels directly connected to the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, where the expo will be held.
As demand continued to rise, organizers added room blocks at three additional nearby hotels. Two of those properties have also reached capacity, leaving The Kelly Birmingham, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, as the best remaining option.
Rooms may occasionally become available at sold-out hotels as reservations change, and attendees are encouraged to keep checking their preferred locations.
Shuttle transportation will be provided between the hotels and the convention center.
“We’re thrilled with the registrations to date for UMA Motorcoach EXPO,” said UMA President and CEO Scott Michael. “Our host city, Birmingham, is elated at the opportunity to showcase the community’s unique history, culture, and demonstrate why it is so popular as a travel and tourism destination.”
Event organizers also asked attendees who have reserved rooms that they will not be using to release them so the space can be reassigned to others still seeking accommodations.
The UMA Motorcoach EXPO will feature a large trade show floor, educational sessions, and networking events for motorcoach operators and industry partners.
