Hermes Worldwide technician Durin Morrow has become one of Motor Coach Industries’ newest master technician graduates — a first for the Denver-based transportation company.
Morrow, who joined Hermes in July 2022, began MCI Academy coursework a month later. Over the next two and a half years, he completed more than 280 online modules and 11 weeks of in-person instruction at MCI’s National Training Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
The master technician certification is the highest level offered through MCI Academy, the motorcoach industry’s only Automotive Service Excellence-accredited training program. It covers all major MCI coach systems, including HVAC, electrical, suspension, brakes and diagnostics.

“MCI Academy’s Master Tech program is a unique and comprehensive course that provides in-depth training on all the subjects needed to work on and maintain MCI motorcoaches,” Morrow said in a statement. “It was a great learning environment and a valuable opportunity to connect with others in the industry.”
Hermes CEO Jorge Sanchez called Morrow’s achievement an investment in both the technician’s career and the company’s operations.
“His dedication, skill and professionalism truly reflect the high standards we strive for at Hermes,” Sanchez said.
Founded in 2007, Hermes Worldwide operates nearly 50 vehicles serving corporate groups, schools, sports teams, entertainment tours and special events in the Denver region. Company leaders say the master technician certification will allow more advanced maintenance to be handled in-house, improving response times, reducing costs and limiting vehicle downtime.
Hermes plans to continue enrolling employees in MCI Academy programs, including commercial drivers seeking motorcoach operator certification.
