FARIBAULT, Minn. -- ABC Companies has announced a trio of appointments, including the hiring of Sarah Ahlers as marketing manager.

While Ahlers occupies a new position, she essentially succeeds Brenda Borwege, who held the title of vice president marketing.

Borwege previously was named senior vice president of strategic accounts and marketing at ABC, also a new position. (See February issue of Bus & Motorcoach News.)

In her new job, Ahlers will be responsible for ABCs participation in industry events, its online and social media presence, customer communications, and industry press relations.

She has nearly 10 years of marketing experience, working across a variety of industries, including financial services, technology and association management.

Most recently, she was with BAI, formerly the Bank Administration Institute, a trade organization based in Chicago that promotes standards in bank operations and auditing. It is the oldest and largest technical organization serving the U.S. banking industry.

"Sarah brings a wealth of experience working across all channels of marketing," said Borwege. "Her proven experience, partnering with national sales teams to drive new customer sales and client loyalty, is a great asset for our organization."

Ahlers is based in ABC's Faribault location.

ABC also announced that Brian Pinckney has rejoined the company as senior account executive for Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia.

A veteran of ABC Companies for 13 years, Pinckney returns to his original ABC territory in the Southeast.

Pinckney spent the past three years representing Daimler Buses North America and Setra in the southeastern U.S.

"Brian has tremendous knowledge, having been in this industry since 1995," said Roman Cornell, regional vice president of ABC. "He will be a great asset for our organization and the operators in the southeast region."

Pat Kelly has been named parts territory sales manager in the Southeast for ABC. His territory includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Kelly has been with ABC for more than five years, serving as customer service manager for ABC Parts.

Kelly and Pinckney will be based at ABC Companies facility in Winter Garden, Fla.
