SEDALIA, Colo. — Davey Coach has acquired Hudson Bus Sales, expanding its geographic reach, inventory and transportation services in Texas.
Hudson Bus Sales is a full-service dealership with locations in Texas that sells new and pre-owned buses and provides transportation solutions to organizations nationwide. Davey Coach is a new and used bus dealer headquartered in Denver with sales and service locations in Colorado, California and Indiana.
Josh Davey said the acquisition is part of Davey Coach’s long-term strategy to establish a presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
“Hudson Bus has built a strong reputation,” Davey said in a video announcing the acquisition. “They’ve got great relationships and a team that knows how to execute. That aligns really well with who we are and how we operate.”
By combining the companies, Davey Coach expects to expand its inventory, resources and capabilities.
Davey said customers should expect business to continue as usual while the companies integrate their operations. Existing processes and service expectations will remain in place.
“This is about adding strengths, not changing what’s already worked,” Davey said. “We now have more teammates in a new time zone, working alongside us toward the same goals.”
During the transition, the companies will focus on integrating their teams, sharing best practices and expanding customer support.
The acquisition strengthens Davey Coach’s position in a large and growing market and creates additional opportunities for long-term growth, Davey said.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
