ABC Companies and Windstar Lines celebrate historic milestone

ABC Companies and Windstar Lines are celebrating a significant achievement in their partnership, the most motorcoaches delivered in a single day by ABC.

A lineup of 18 Van Hool CX45 buses was acquired and put into operation at several Windstar facilities, including the company’s headquarters in Carroll, Iowa.

A caravan of 18 Van Hool CX45 buses rolled out of ABC headquarters in Orlando, Florida, last month on a multi-day journey to Windstar locations in Nevada, Arizona, and the company’s headquarters in Carroll, Iowa.

This delivery brings the total to 186 new and used coaches acquired by Windstar from ABC Companies since 1995. It also spotlights the deep-rooted relationship between the Cornell family of ABC Companies and the Greteman family of Windstar Lines.

“Reflecting on our 29-year journey with the Greteman family and Windstar, the foundation of our partnership has clearly been built on shared values and a commitment to excellence,” remarked Roman Cornell, chief executive officer of ABC Companies.

“Witnessing the Greteman family’s incredible transformation from modest beginnings to evolving into a premier motorcoach transportation provider, spanning a total of 12 locations, is truly inspiring.”

Long-standing relationship

The company, founded in 1995 by Mike and Cathy Greteman, has evolved from a single motorcoach operation to a leading transportation company under the stewardship of the Greteman brothers: Jeff, Scott, and Pat.

Windstar emphasized the pivotal role of their partnership with ABC Companies in elevating their standards, attributing it to the longstanding bond with the Cornell family.

“Our ability to continually improve our offerings and ensure a modern, safe, and comfortable travel experience for our passengers stems from our deep-rooted relationship with ABC Companies, supported by the trust and understanding we share with the Cornell family,” said Jeff Greteman, president of Windstar Lines.

Greteman said the decision to partner with ABC was based on a shared vision for customer service.

“ABC Companies’ exceptional parts availability, outstanding service, and unwavering commitment to after-sales support have played a significant role in maintaining the high level of service and product quality that Windstar Lines prides itself on,” he said.
