OVERLAND PARK, Kan. Steve Klika, the long-time president of International Motor Coach Group and a familiar face at major industry events during the past decade, has left the organization and is now managing a pair of sister companies in the employment staffing business.

"It was just time to move on in life and do something different," he said of his resignation, which was effective last month.

His replacement is Bronwyn Wilson, an experienced travel and tour industry executive and former president of the North America unit of Australian Pacific Touring in North Hollywood, Calif., a travel and tour company with worldwide operations.

She was selected by the IMG board from a field of more than 175 applicants.

Klika, who headed IMG for 11 years, is now president of AdKore Staffing Group and Megaforce, both of which are headquartered here and have offices in Minneapolis, Tulsa, Okla., and Chattanooga, Tenn.

The companies specialize in temporary and permanent employment in a variety of professions and skilled trades, including engineering, health care, aerospace and information technology.

Although he has moved into a different industry, Klika said he will stay in touch with bus and motorcoach transportation issues as a member of the boards of the Kansas City Transit Authority and the Global Passenger Network.

Kansas City Transit is the public transportation agency for metropolitan Kansas City, and PCN promotes the motorcoach industry internationally as a viable and ecological alternative to private car use.

While with IMG, Klika was active in industry activities, including hosting and serving on numerous panels at United Motorcoach Association Expos and other conferences.

Klika, who joined IMG as president in 2001, said the change in leadership at the organization will be a major benefit to the group and its membership of select motorcoach carriers from throughout North America.

"They will have a really fresh perspective and there will be an exciting time ahead for them," he said.

Wilson, meanwhile, takes over an organization that for many years has been at the forefront of promoting safety and quality service in the industry and helping the public identify carriers that adhere to the organizations mission.

"I am looking forward to future opportunities in the marketplace," she said of move into a new, but related industry.

Wilson, who has been involved in the travel and tour industry in North American for 25 years, served on the boards of both the United States Tour Operators and National Tour associations.

Her first day on the job at IMG was Feb. 1.
