A recap of 2023 UMA Motorcoach EXPO in photos and videos

The 2023 UMA Motorcoach EXPO in Orlando, Florida, provided the perfect place for people to reconnect. There was a lot going on, from educational seminars to the exhibit hall where United Motorcoach Association Members had a chance to see and touch the latest products to grow their businesses. Even for those who attended, it was hard to see everything. Thanks to the hard work of the Terrapin Blue team, you can see what you were a part of — and what you missed. 2023 EXPO First day

DAY 1

Check out the excitement as UMA Members and vendors arrive in Orlando for the 2023 UMA Motorcoach EXPO in this video, featuring new UMA Board Member Kevin Creighton; new UMA Member Ronald Williamson, of Bearon Coach Transportation; Micayla Shand, of Thompson Valley Charters; Christine McDonald, of Kiel Seats North America; Selem Aydin, of Temsa; and Dennis Kelly, of Lancer Insurance. The first day began with registration and the UMA State Association Summit, sponsored by NAMO, MMA and NWMA. The evening was capped off by the UMA Welcome Reception at the Rosen Centre, where industry friends reconnected poolside over dinner and drinks. 

EXPO 2023

DAY 2 

The second day focused on educational sessions to give Members ideas for growing their businesses. The UMA EXPO Opening Session featured a legislative and regulatory update with Becky Weber and Ken Presley, moderated by Alan Thrasher. The lunchtime event was sponsored by RLI Transportation, celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Maintenance Interchange and honored the annual event’s organizer, Kevin Whitworth, along with MCI’s Pat Ziska, an industry legacy who is retiring after a 46-year career. A daylong Maintenance Interchange was held, as well as sessions on a variety of topics, from best safety practices to DOT training. The day ended with UMA Members attending the Exhibit Hall Sneak Preview and the Sneak Preview After-Party at the convention center. 2023 EXPO

DAY 3

The day began with the UMA International Driver Competition, sponsored by Lancer Insurance and Prevost, followed by the Maintenance Competition, sponsored by ABC Companies. There were more education sessions before the exhibit hall opened at noon. The evening ended with a UMA Member Award Dinner, where the winners of both competitions were announced. Brothers Mike and Ben Canine also accepted the UMA Vision Award on behalf of their company, Lorenz Bus Service. Check out the highlights in this Day 3 video

EXPO

DAY 4

The EXPO wrapped up with one last morning for UMA Members to connect with vendors in the exhibit hall. UMA ended the conference by announcing that next year’s EXPO will be in Raleigh, North Carolina.
