ASHBURN, Va. -- The 10th annual United Motorcoach Association Safety Management Seminar will be Dec. 4-5 at the National Transportation Safety Board Training Center here.

The day-and-a-half seminar will feature sessions specifically designed to help key employees of motorcoach companies manage and reduce operational risk.

The range of topics at this years seminar is diverse, with sessions on driver training, the Compliance Review process, fatigue management, and key policy issues.

There also will be updates and forecasts from four U.S. government agencies, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the Transportation Security Administration, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.

A new feature this year will be a breakout session of small groups discussing pressing industry challenges and proposing solutions.

The UMA safety seminar is primarily designed for company managers and individuals who deal with risk associated with motorcoach fleet operations. Attendance is limited to the first 130 registrants.

The program will be from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, and from 8 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Dec. 5.

The registration fee is $275 for UMA members; $425 for non-members.
