ABC Companies recently hosted U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost, a leading advocate for transportation innovation and sustainability, for a visit focused on public transit accessibility and fleet electrification in Central Florida.
Frost, who serves on key congressional committees, champions initiatives that strengthen transportation infrastructure, energy policy, and environmental progress efforts that align closely with ABC Companies’ commitment to transitioning from low-emission to zero-emission transportation solutions.

Frost is the second congressional leader to visit ABC Companies in recent months. In February, the company welcomed U.S. Rep. Daniel Webster, a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, for discussions on industry priorities and business growth in western Orange County.
During a tour of ABC’s key operational areas, Webster and company leadership explored ABC’s role in advancing transportation solutions and its collaboration with industry associations and policymakers.
Public-private partnerships
During his visit, Frost emphasized the importance of partnerships between private companies, public agencies, and elected officials in building a more accessible and sustainable transit future.
“Expanding access to reliable, sustainable public transportation is critical for the future of Orlando and beyond,” Frost said. “It’s encouraging to see companies like ABC leading the way with innovative strategies and strong partnerships to support low- and zero-emission transit.”

ABC’s leadership team shared insights into its fleet electrification efforts, partnerships with transit providers, and support for agencies navigating the transition to zero-emission transportation.
Among its zero-emission offerings, ABC Companies provides advanced vehicles such as the Van Hool TDX25E electric double-decker and the Optimal-EV low-floor electric shuttle bus.
“At ABC, we believe meaningful progress happens through collaboration with policymakers and industry partners,” said Jay Oakman, Chief Operating Officer of ABC Companies. “We’re grateful to Congressman Frost for his engagement and look forward to continuing these vital conversations that move the transportation industry and our communities forward.”
