CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Transportation Advisors and its partner company EZ-DrugTest.com gathered last week in Charlotte for their annual Software & AI Summit, where company leaders and team members detailed efforts to expand and refine their compliance platforms for transportation operators.
The meeting focused on the development of MyDOTDocs.com and Compliance Commanders, two tools designed to help fleets manage regulatory requirements, recordkeeping and risk management more efficiently.
Company officials said the initiative is rooted in industry experience. Tom Holden, who spent 16 years as an operator, said the platform reflects gaps he encountered firsthand.
“After 16 years as an operator, this is everything I wished I had — all in one place,” Holden said.
Discussions centered on simplifying compliance processes that have grown increasingly complex, including Department of Transportation requirements and drug and alcohol program management. Participants emphasized reducing the time burden on operators while improving oversight and decision-making.
Easing compliance
MyDOTDocs.com currently allows fleets to centralize compliance records. The next phase of development, officials said, aims to expand functionality through Compliance Commanders by shifting from record storage to active compliance management.
“Compliance should not be something you’re constantly reacting to,” Holden said. “It should be something you feel in control of every day.”
Planned enhancements include increased automation, earlier identification of potential issues, and tools intended to support operational decisions without adding administrative workload.
Company representatives also highlighted the collaborative nature of the team, noting that many members work directly with clients and contribute operational insight to product development.
Officials said updates discussed at the summit are already underway and will continue to roll out. The company said the platforms will continue evolving as regulatory demands increase, with a focus on enabling transportation businesses to maintain compliance while operating efficiently.
