Tim Barnes named VP of sales at MCI

DES PLAINES, Ill. — Motor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., has named Tim Barnes as vice president of private sector sales, the company announced Thursday.

Barnes succeeds Tom Wagner, who earlier this year was promoted to lead all private sector commercial operations under MCI’s Project Focus initiative. In his new role, Barnes will oversee new coach sales and customer relationships across North America’s private motorcoach market.

“Tim’s deep industry experience, strong customer relationships, and commitment to service excellence make him the ideal leader to take our private sector sales team forward,” Wagner said. “Having worked closely with him during his tenure at NFI Parts, I know he brings a collaborative, customer-first mindset that our operators will appreciate.”

Quarter-century of experience

Barnes has more than 25 years of experience in the heavy-duty vehicle industry, most recently serving as director of parts, sales and customer service-private sector at NFI Parts. He previously held leadership roles in parts, service, and training with other original equipment manufacturers and suppliers.

Barnes said he is honored to lead sales efforts for a brand that has played a central role in the motorcoach industry for decades.

I look forward to working with our incredible customers and supporting the talented sales professionals who represent MCI every day.”
