MINNEOLA, Fla. — This week, Sardo Bus and Coach Upholstery broke ground on a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing and installation facility in Minneola, marking a significant expansion aimed at increasing production capacity and improving customer service.
Minneola is in central Florida’s Lake County, about 30 miles west of Orlando, near a growing cluster of motorcoach industry operations, including facilities associated with ABC Companies, TEMSA and Prevost.

Company leaders, including Lou and Jeanie Sardo, joined community partners at the ceremony on March 22 to launch construction of the facility, which is expected to boost operational and meet growing demand for motorcoach and transit interior solutions.
“God has had His hand on this company from the very beginning—this isn’t by accident. We’re more than coworkers, we’re family, and we’ve been truly blessed with great things ahead. This building will be our home,” Lou Sardo said at the ceremony.
The new site will incorporate advanced manufacturing technology, streamlined workflows and space for future growth. Once completed, it will allow the company to expand its on-site capabilities, including full bus interior reupholstery services. The addition is expected to reduce turnaround times and provide greater flexibility for customers.

Sardo is also expanding its mobile road crew services, enabling technicians to perform upholstery repairs and refurbishments at customer locations. The company said the move will help minimize downtime and return fleets to service more quickly.
“Our goal is to make it easier and faster for our customers to maintain and upgrade their fleet,” the company said in a statement.
Local officials voiced support for the project, noting its potential economic impact on the region.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
