QUEBEC CITY — A year after celebrating its 100th anniversary, luxury motorcoach builder Prevost is sharing a deeper look at its past with the release of “Prevost Buses: 1924–2024 Photos Archive.”
The updated volume expands on a 1924–2002 photo collection by transit historian William Luke and offers a richly illustrated chronicle of the company’s first century.
The centennial edition arrives as Prevost opens its historical archives to enthusiasts and researchers. Along with the book, the company is making select arrival and production documents available to those eager to explore its roots, from its early wooden-bodied buses to today’s sleek touring coaches.

The new edition adds rare images, detailed captions and insights into the brand’s most recent innovations, highlighting the evolution of Prevost motorcoaches and their influence on North American travel.
New chapters, curated by retired employee and motorcoach historian David Schmidt, draw on his extensive research and industry knowledge. Schmidt’s work highlights key milestones, including engineering breakthroughs and design changes that kept Prevost at the forefront of luxury bus manufacturing.
Prevost says the expanded archive appeals to enthusiasts, historians and industry professionals alike. “Prevost Buses: 1924–2024 Photos Archive” is available now through the Prevost merchandise store for U.S. customers.
