Prevost opens service center near D.C.

Prevost’s service network, already the largest in the industry, is growing again with the opening of its newest service facility in Maryland.

Situated in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Capitol Heights, the location is intended to provide service to customers in and traveling through the D.C. area, according to Randy Castillo, service network director for Prevost.

“We’re committed to being the strongest service network in the industry, and our team in Capitol Heights is ready to provide the exceptional service experience our customers are accustomed to,” Castillo said.

One of 19 Prevost service centers in North America, the facility shares space with Academy Bus Lines, at 1700 Rochelle Ave. in Capitol Heights, about 9 miles from the nation’s capital. Prevost has two dedicated bays in the facility, a company spokesperson said.

The satellite center features include a customer lounge, onsite parts storage for quick access and two dedicated service bays.

“We have a great team in place, ready to go, and we’re excited to begin seeing customers at the new location,” said Jose Medina, Capitol Heights parts manager.

The Capitol Heights center is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, and can be reached at 800-223-0830.
