Alison Klein Sherman, President of Klein Transportation is joining the board of directors of the Greater New Jersey Motorcoach Association (GNJMA).
Klein Transportation has been family-owned and -operated since it started providing student transportation in 1957.
“While this is a difficult time for our industry, COVID has also provided us with the opportunity to reevaluate our businesses, continue to develop the positives, and make changes to and improvements in the areas where they are needed,” Sherman said. “The relationships built through GNJMA have always been important and are even more invaluable during this time.”
Sherman, who will be working on the association’s Membership & Bylaw Committee, says she is “excited to see the progress of all the members and how we can help each other in the coming years.”
Fourth generation
Sherman is the fourth generation to lead the family business, which provides safe, quality transportation with motorcoaches and school buses. She received her degree in travel and tourism, business management and marketing from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.
She worked directly with her father, Wayne Klein, to learn the financial aspect of the company. Sherman has also been involved with the hiring of all employees to ensure the company’s focus on customer service is carried through with every employee.
Previously, Sherman spent many years at Klein as a tour sales representative and tour planner, then VP of Finance before recently being promoted to President.
