MMA provides free disinfecting fogging services during inauguration

The Maryland Motorcoach Association (MMA) will provide disinfecting fogging services for motorcoaches during Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration.

The free service will be provided at FedEx Field on Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s available to all motorcoach companies while supplies last.

Scores of motorcoaches are at the nation’s capital this week providing transportation to National Guard troops deployed to ensure peace during the inauguration activities.

“It is MMA’s hope that in some small way we can keep our National Guard and our drivers safe from COVID-19 while they are here protecting our capital and performing services during the Inauguration for our 46th president,” the association said in a statement announcing the service.

Drivers should look for MMA’s table in the parking lot at FedEx Field to request the service, which is being provided as a way of saying “Thank you to our troops and the industry who serve this nation,” MMA said in a statement.

The foggers being used come from EZ DISSAN, a distributor of Victory Innovations for the motorcoach and tour industry. The electrostatic handheld sprayer is designed to achieve maximum disinfection and sanitization. The portable sprayers are compact and can be carried on motorcoaches so drivers can safely complete disinfection and sanitizing daily to keep the coach safe.

In August, the MMA gave each of its 34 members a handheld Victory Innovations Cordless Electrostatic Sprayer and a 5-gallon container of cleaning solution. This one-time membership benefit was valued at more than $1,195.

The Victory Sprayers’ patented technology works by creating an electrical charge to solutions, allowing them to wrap conductive surfaces with an effective and even coverage. Double-charged particles envelope all conductive surfaces — shadowed, vertical and underneath.

MMA represents the interests of Maryland motorcoach operators along with their industry tourism partners, destination marketing organizations, small businesses, coach manufacturers, and equipment suppliers. The organization’s mission is to strive to promote the efficient and secure transportation of Marylanders across the state.
