Jefferson Lines expands Midwest bus service with new Iowa, Chicago connections

MINNEAPOLIS — Jefferson Lines has expanded its intercity bus service from Minneapolis to Chicago, adding stops in Mason City and Clear Lake, Iowa, as well as Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Dubuque, the company announced.

The enhanced service, which launched June 30, strengthens transportation options across Minnesota and Iowa while providing additional connections to Jefferson Lines’ national network.

Passengers traveling from Minneapolis depart from Ramp B at Target Field, a transportation hub that connects with Metro Transit bus routes and the METRO Light Rail system.

The expanded route also provides travelers with easier access through Chicago to destinations across the eastern United States, including Washington, D.C., New York City and Baltimore.

The service is designed to serve residents, students, business travelers and visitors seeking affordable regional transportation.

Jefferson Lines buses offer complimentary Wi-Fi, real-time bus tracking, online booking and rebooking, a mobile app for iOS and Android devices, and customer support throughout the trip.

One-way fares between Minneapolis and Chicago start at $60, according to the company.

Jefferson Lines, founded in 1919, operates a 17-state network connecting more than 2,000 destinations across the United States.
