ESTERO, Fla. — Don Greenglass is retiring as president of Distinctive Systems Inc. after more than two decades with the company, and longtime employee Bob Hopwood has been appointed to succeed him.
Greenglass helped establish Distinctive Systems Inc. in 2009 as the North American branch of Distinctive Systems Ltd. Under his leadership, the company expanded its software offerings for bus and tour operators, including systems for charter bookings, tours and vehicle maintenance.
“It has been an incredible journey watching Distinctive Systems grow alongside the North American bus and tour industry,” Greenglass said in a Sept. 22 announcement. He said he was especially proud of the relationships the company had built with customers and its team.
Hopwood has worked for Distinctive Systems for 20 years and most recently was vice president of support and training services. He will lead a North American management team that includes Eric Elliott, vice president of sales and marketing; Jason Fenske, director of support and training services; and Paul Demciuch, director of technical services.
“Our commitment to those customers remains at the center of everything we do,” Hopwood said. “We’re looking forward to building on the strong foundation Don has helped create while bringing the next generation of our technology to the market.”
The company says more than 400 North American businesses use at least one of its products. It plans to introduce Coach Manager Cloud in November.
