DATTCO acquires Land/Jet, expanding service and modernizing regional fleet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — DATTCO Inc., a third-generation, family-owned transportation provider, announced it has acquired Land/Jet Inc. of Watertown, Connecticut.

The acquisition expands DATTCO’s footprint in western Connecticut and into New York and supports continued investment in workforce development, fleet modernization and regional economic growth.

DATTCO will integrate Land/Jet’s fleet of 10 buses, retiring half and replacing them with newer vehicles from its existing fleet to improve safety, reliability and passenger experience.

“We’re excited to welcome Land/Jet into the DATTCO family,” said Don DeVivo, president of DATTCO. “This expansion is an investment in people, allowing us to grow operations, create well-paying local jobs and deliver dependable service. Upgrading the fleet will provide a safer, more comfortable experience while raising service standards.”

DATTCO Inc. has acquired Land/Jet Inc. of Watertown, Connecticut.

DATTCO will offer continued employment to all Land/Jet employees and expects to add full-time positions as operations expand.

“The Land/Jet team brings deep experience and strong relationships in the region,” said Kyle DeVivo, chief operating officer of DATTCO. “We’re pleased to welcome them and build on that foundation.”

Founded in 1983 by brothers Charles, Tim and Dennis Brady, Land/Jet grew from two motor coaches into a full-service, family-run bus operation. The transition concludes 43 years of Brady family leadership and a multigenerational legacy in the bus industry.

The Brady brothers will remain involved during the transition. Tim Brady will join DATTCO as a foreman to support operations and maintain service continuity.

“We are confident DATTCO is the right partner to carry forward our values and service standards,” said Charles Brady, president of Land/Jet.

Founded in 1924, DATTCO provides motorcoach, school bus and transit services throughout the Northeast. Based in New Britain, Connecticut, it is one of the largest privately owned transportation companies in New England.
