The California Bus Association has selected McDonald Association Management Company as its new association management partner, aiming to support the CBA’s next phase of growth and member engagement.

“We chose McDonaldAMC because of their proven track record, their commitment to partnership, and their deep understanding of how to strengthen member-driven organizations,” California Bus Association President Michael Giddens said. “Their values, integrity, transparency, responsiveness, and collaboration align perfectly with CBA’s mission.”
Based in Sacramento, the California Bus Association represents companies and organizations involved in the motorcoach and bus industry throughout the state.
McDonald Association Management Company, a family-owned company founded in 2004, provides association management services to organizations in healthcare, professional services, technical and scientific fields, and insurance.
Under the new partnership, Cheryl Marcell, a certified association executive with more than two decades of nonprofit and association leadership experience, will be the association’s executive director. Her previous roles include president and CEO of the California State Railroad Museum Foundation, as well as senior leadership positions with Airports Council International and several trade associations.
Chanel Barkley will oversee annual conference planning and member services for the association. Her experience includes conference management, exhibitor and sponsor coordination, marketing and communications, and on-site event logistics.
