The California Bus Association is bringing back the Dennis Easley Memorial Driver Skills Competition for a second year, offering motorcoach drivers a chance to showcase their skills while honoring a longtime advocate for safety and training.
The members-only event will once again be held in Long Beach, following a successful debut in 2024 that included a distracted driving training session and strong performances from CBA member drivers.

The competition pays tribute to Dennis Easley, remembered as a passionate supporter of professional development in the motorcoach industry. The event provides a platform for drivers to demonstrate their technical knowledge, precision maneuvers, and on-the-road expertise.
Last year’s winner, Robert Saucedo of Carreras Tours, earned the top title and the opportunity to represent California at the UMA International Driver Competition. This year’s champion will receive airfare from CBA, hotel accommodations, and full registration provided by the United Motorcoach Association to compete in the 2026 national competition.
Registration for the 2025 event is now open. Space is limited, and CBA encourages members to nominate their top drivers as soon as possible.
