Boston Chauffeur expands fleet with new MCI Motorcoach

Boston Chauffeur, a Massachusetts-based black car and limousine service, has taken another major step forward in its expansion into the motorcoach market.

The company recently took delivery of a new, fully customized MCI J4500 motorcoach — its second purchase from Motor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. The acquisition signals Boston Chauffeur’s continued push into group transportation, adding capacity for corporate travel, weddings, and private charters.

“We started out with humble roots in the limousine industry, so transitioning to adding full-size coach buses was a major decision,” said Mark Kini, owner of Boston Chauffeur. “I am extremely happy we chose MCI, as the whole team has been true professionals.”

Boston Chauffeur’s latest addition reflects a trend among luxury transportation providers who are diversifying their fleets to meet a broader range of client needs, especially as group travel rebounds. However, the transition from luxury cars to motorcoaches can be challenging. It often requires new training, operational planning, and expanded customer support. MCI provides orientation and technical resources to help companies adapt to the demands of larger vehicles and longer routes.

The  Boston Chauffeur delivery follows the company’s first motorcoach purchase just one year ago. The new J4500, recently featured at the CD/NLA trade show in Las Vegas, includes a range of features designed to enhance passenger experience and driver safety.

Its amenities include premium seating, a 360-degree exterior camera system, interior security cameras, the Bendix Wingman collision mitigation system, RGB ambient lighting, an enhanced REI sound system, and a rear window for added visibility and design appeal.

“We are proud to be part of Boston Chauffeur’s growth,” said Brent Maitland, vice president of private market sales and marketing at MCI. “We met Mark at the CD/NLA show and were able to demonstrate how Team MCI supports customers every step of the way. From purchasing the coach, to providing training and orientation to their team, to technical support after the sale, we want to make sure our customers are successful.”
