WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — ABC Companies has announced a strategic partnership with Waev Inc. to expand its portfolio with low-speed electric vehicles, citing growing demand for flexible, on-site transportation options.
The partnership will initially focus on Waev’s GEM line of vehicles, part of a broader portfolio that includes Taylor-Dunn, Fusion and Tiger brands. The vehicles are commonly used for short-distance transportation in settings such as resorts, corporate campuses and private facilities.
ABC Companies said the move reflects evolving customer needs, as fleet operators seek more adaptable ways to transport passengers across large properties and connect longer-distance travel with localized mobility.

By adding GEM vehicles, the company aims to extend its offerings beyond motorcoaches and shuttles to include first-mile and last-mile connectivity, as well as on-property transportation.
“As our customers’ needs evolve, we need to evolve with them,” said Jay Oakman, chief government affairs and strategy officer of ABC Companies. “Adding Waev expands our ability to do that.
“It gives us another option to support a broader range of transportation needs, from motorcoaches and shuttles to more localized mobility. At the end of the day, it is about making sure we can show up with the right solution, no matter the use.”
Shared priorities
Waev, headquartered in Anaheim, California, manufactures low-speed electric vehicles for commercial, industrial and institutional fleets. Its products are used for transportation, facility operations and other support functions.
Company officials said the partnership is rooted in shared priorities around innovation, operational efficiency and practical transportation solutions.

“We are excited to partner with ABC Companies and work alongside a team that has built a trusted distribution and service network across the industry,” said Luke Mulvaney, chief revenue officer and co-founder of Waev.
“Their ability to bring solutions to market and support customers over the long term gives us confidence as we expand the reach of Waev and GEM. We see strong alignment in how our organizations approach innovation and operational efficiency, and together, we are focused on delivering practical solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers across a wide range of environments.”
