Starline Luxury Coach sells Financial Stake

SEATTLE — CVG Group, LLC, has acquired a financial stake in Transportation Demand Management, Inc., which does business as Starline Luxury Coach, A&A Motorcoach and Wheatland Express in the Seattle area.

Corporate Finance Associates (CFA), a middle-market mergers and acquisitions firm, initiated and acted as financial advisors to Transportation Demand Management in the transaction.

Starline began in 1998 with two paratransit vehicles providing non-emergency medical transportation and the company quickly expanded to include corporate shuttles and charter services. It is now one of the largest motorcoach and minibus operators in the Pacific Northwest.

Transportation Demand Management owner Gladys Gillis, vice chairman of the United Motorcoach Association board, said finding a financial partner will help bring to fruition new revenue streams that will benefit the motorcoach industry.

CVG Group specializes in private-equity acquisitions of U.S.-based, middle-market companies. By partnering with businesses with experience and proven operating management, CVG Group helps mid-level companies grow their profitability through proven professional financial models.

Brad Lindsay, managing director of CFA MidSouth in Memphis, said the company received strong interest in Transportation Demand Management from both strategic and financial buyers by tapping into in-depth industry knowledge and advocating on behalf of the company with a select group of high-quality buyers.

“It has been a pleasure to be working with TDM, Inc.,” Lindsay said. “I was particularly impressed with their deep commitment to their customers, their employees and the community they serve. It is satisfying to find two companies with similar goals, objectives and corporate culture who will work together to implement future growth initiatives.”
